The race is on as the leading audio-visual companies all compete to bring the first Freeview HD box to the HD-hungry UK market.
Despite releasing information about their upcoming Humax HD-Fox T2 HD Digital Terrestrial Television Receiver back in December, it looked like a newcomer, 3View, was going to pip them to the post with their multi-talented Freeview HD recorder.
However, there has been very little news coming from 3View and Humax seem to have edged in front with their product, albeit only a receiver – not a recorder, featuring in the new Argos catalogue (and online)No one has any stock for the time being, but reservations are being taken, with suggestions of a late February / early March delivery. Once the model is available, we will have a full price-comparison on the Humax HD-Fox T2 review page.
In the meantime, don’t forget to check whether or not you can now receive Freeview HD – there’s no point in splashing out on a new model if you can’t get the signal!
